Gwen Graham Running For Governor
(Miami, FL) -- As expected, former Democratic Tallahassee Congresswoman Gwen Graham is running for governor. She made the announcement official yesterday during a press conference near Miami, accompanied by her husband, three children, and her father, former Florida Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Graham. So far Graham will face Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum and Orlando businessman Chris King in the 2018 Democratic Party primary. Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Adam Putnam is in the race on the Republican side.
Lawmakers Miss Budget Deadline
(Tallahassee, FL) -- Lawmakers in Tallahassee are going to need more time. The Legislature couldn't agree on a budget last night, and that means they won't be able to vote on the budget by Friday's deadline. Land O'Lakes House Speaker Richard Corcoran says that healthcare is the biggest obstacle left.
